Industrial & Warehouse Construction

New construction, redevelopment and tenant improvements for warehouses, distribution buildings, flex space and light-industrial facilities.

Industrial buildings are measured by how well they work: clear height, dock count, truck access, power, fire protection and how easily the space can be leased.

Metro Atlanta's position on I-75, I-85 and I-20 makes it one of the country's major distribution markets, and its industrial inventory includes a large stock of older buildings that need work to compete with new product. GIC Construction redevelops those buildings, builds out space for specific operations and delivers new industrial facilities across Georgia.

Industrial work often happens while a building is in operation. We plan work zones, dock access and shutdowns with tenants and property managers so shipping and receiving can continue.

What Drives an Industrial Budget

Fire Protection

Sprinkler design depends on what is stored and how high. Raising racks or changing commodities can require a new design, a larger water supply or a fire pump.

Roof and Slab

The two largest building components are also the most expensive to fix later. We assess both before redevelopment pricing is final.

Power Service

Manufacturing, EV charging and heavy equipment can exceed an older building's service. Utility upgrades start early because they often control the schedule.
