Ground-Up Construction
New commercial and industrial buildings, built from site development through certificate of occupancy.
New construction depends on getting the sequence right. Site work has to be ready for foundations, the structure has to be ready for the roof, and the building has to be dried in before interior trades can start.
GIC Construction manages that sequence for new commercial and industrial buildings across Georgia. We coordinate the site, structural, envelope and MEP trades, track materials with long lead times, and keep inspections moving so the building reaches substantial completion on schedule.
We build from the owner's construction documents, or help assemble the design team when a project begins with a site and a program. Pre-engineered metal buildings, structural steel, masonry and wood-framed structures are all within our scope.

Planning
What Shapes a New Construction Schedule
Site Approvals
Site plan, zoning and land disturbance approvals often take longer than building plan review. They belong at the front of the schedule.
Utility Capacity
Power, water, sewer and gas availability affect both cost and timing. Transformer and switchgear lead times are confirmed early.
Stormwater Compliance
Georgia projects that disturb an acre or more require coverage under the state's NPDES construction stormwater permit, with erosion controls inspected throughout the job.
